Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Marine Vessel Painter Specialist to join our team at MarineMax. As a key member of our crew, you will be responsible for ensuring the vessels we work on receive top-notch painting services.

About the Role
  • Prep and paint vessels below the water line, maintaining exceptional quality standards.
  • Assist with pressure washing vessels, inspecting and repairing running gear, zincs, and props as needed.
Responsibilities
  1. Maintain a high level of work ethic and attitude, adhering to company standards.
  2. Ensure all work completed meets or exceeds customer expectations.
  3. Complete repair work in a timely manner.
  4. Have sound knowledge of preparation and application of various prep solvents and bottom paints.
  5. Understand proper procedures for vessel preparation before applying bottom paint.
  6. Be skilled in removing and reinstalling hardware, including running gear, zincs, and propellers.
  7. Ability to wear and use a respirator and other personal protective equipment when necessary.
  8. Maintain and use necessary hand tools.
  9. Understand basic requirements for disposing of hazardous materials.
  10. Comply with environmental regulations and demonstrate respect for the environment.

  • Ability to work well with others.
Working Conditions

This role requires working on marine vessels, which can involve exposure to harsh weather conditions, confined spaces, and physical demands. A valid E-Verify certification is also required.
