About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Technician to join our team at Frisbie Memorial Hospital. As a Mental Health Technician, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our patients. Your primary responsibility will be to work under the direction of the Registered Nurse and contribute to maintaining a therapeutic milieu through basic psychiatric nursing-related techniques and supervised therapeutic activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the treatment team in providing and maintaining a therapeutic environment
  • Participate in supervised therapeutic activities and basic psychiatric nursing-related techniques
  • Support the teaching and orientation of new staff members
  • Act as a Preceptor and perform other interventions in support of discharge planning and case management activities
Requirements
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date
  • Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certification within 90 days of employment start date
  • High School Graduate or equivalent
