Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at Lamb Weston Holdings, Inc. in Park Rapids, MN.

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out preventative maintenance measures and operating repair, cutting or welding equipment to complete the job.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work in a safe and orderly manner while in the plant.
  • Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment.
  • Detect malfunctions and discuss machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers.
  • Dismantle defective machines and equipment and install new or repaired parts.
  • Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
  • Repair and maintain the physical structure of the establishment.
  • Lay out, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems and related steam and refrigeration, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
  • Operate cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.

Requirements:

  • One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Advance knowledge of factory equipment.
  • Minimum one year experience in a maintenance position.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and peers.
