Mobility Specialist for Student Support

We are seeking a highly skilled Mobility Specialist to join our team at the Educational Service Center of Central Ohio. The successful candidate will provide evaluations, IEP-based interventions, and accommodations to help students with special needs travel safely and independently in the learning environment.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct evaluations to assess students' mobility needs
- Develop and implement IEP-based interventions to improve students' travel skills
- Collaborate with educational teams to provide accommodations and support
- Stay up-to-date with best practices and evidence-based interventions in the field of orientation and mobility
- Successful completion of the national ACVREP certification exam
- Valid Orientation and Mobility Specialist certificate from the Ohio Department of Education
- Documentation of a clear criminal record
- Compliance with drug-free workplace rules and board policies
- Dual TVI/COMS certification
- Ability to communicate effectively as a member of an educational team
- Experience working with students with special needs
