About the Role

Tenet Massachusetts is seeking a skilled Mental Health Therapist to join our team at MetroWest Medical Center in Framingham, Massachusetts.

Job Summary

As a Mental Health Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, compassionate care to adult patients with mental health needs. You will work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to assess, diagnose, and treat patients, and provide individual and group therapy sessions to promote mental health and well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct initial psychological assessments and develop treatment plans in collaboration with the Charge Nurse and multidisciplinary team.
  • Provide individual and group therapy sessions to patients, incorporating various therapeutic techniques and strategies to promote mental health and well-being.
  • Collaborate with other unit staff to assess and evaluate patient mental status, and participate in crisis intervention techniques as needed.
  • Document patient progress and treatment plans in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Provide education and support to family members and significant others regarding patient mental health and treatment plans.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Psychology or a related field.
  • Experience working with adult patients with mental health needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Knowledge of various therapeutic techniques and strategies.
