Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field.
  • Valid Texas teaching certification in Special Education (EC-12).
  • Expertise in developing and implementing IEPs.
  • Knowledge of special education laws and regulations, including the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.
  • Previous experience working with students with diverse learning needs is preferred.
Licensure and Certification Requirements:
  • Texas Educator Certification in Special Education (EC-12).
  • Additional certification in a core subject area (e.g., Mathematics, English Language Arts) may be necessary depending on the assignment.
  • Completion of mandatory Texas Education Agency (TEA) training and professional development.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
