Building Maintenance Mechanic

Job Summary: Talantage, LLC is seeking a skilled Building Maintenance Mechanic to perform routine maintenance, repairs, and replacements at public housing apartment units and buildings.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform routine structural, plumbing, appliance, and electrical maintenance assignments to repair apartment units.
* Operate a standard motor vehicle to transport equipment and tools.
* Perform routine painting assignments.
* Make repairs and replacements to prepare apartment for new tenants.
* Perform routine grounds maintenance assignments.
* Process work order documents.
* Monitor work and assure that the community complies with federal, state, and local housing regulations.
* Uphold local public housing community standards.
* Assist in moving furniture, supplies, and other items for transport as needed.
* Receive training to maintain knowledge and skill in apartment repair, including maintaining any required certifications.
* Process standard work documents, such as work orders.
* Perform routine care and cleaning of shop equipment.
* Maintain a safe and clean workplace.
About the Ideal Candidate:
* A high school diploma or General Education Development (GED) certificate.
* Three to five years of progressively responsible apartment maintenance experience.
* The ability to lift 20-pound objects.
* Current VA or NC driver's license.
