Academic Speech Therapy Position

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide academic support in the Hainesport, NJ area.

About the Role:

  • This part-time contract position involves assessing and diagnosing speech, language, and communication disorders, developing personalized treatment plans, and educating families and caregivers.
  • The successful candidate will collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress and participate in IEP meetings.

Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct comprehensive evaluations and diagnoses of speech, language, and communication disorders.
  2. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's unique needs.
  3. Educate patients and their families about speech disorders, their causes, and effective management techniques.
  4. Collaborate with educators, administrators, and healthcare professionals to ensure cohesive support for students.
  5. Deliver direct therapy services to students in individual or group settings.
  6. Maintain accurate records of patient conditions, treatment plans, and therapy sessions.
  7. Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in speech-language pathology.

Requirements:

  • A master's degree in Speech Language Pathology is required, along with full accreditation (CCC) and experience working in a school setting as an SLP.
  • Prior experience in a speech-language pathology setting is necessary.

Salary and Benefits:

Estimated salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
