Electrical Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team in designing and supporting custom PCBA for automated packaging platforms. As an Electrical Engineer, you will work on system design, implementation, and release to manufacturing, integrating all electronics into the system PCBA, including safety, wireless, sensors, motor drive, and power systems.
Key Responsibilities- Work with an interdisciplinary team to execute electrical system designs from concept to production, including design, validation, testing, and certification.
- Assist other electrical engineers with design elements, simulation, testing, documentation, and troubleshooting on next-generation designs.
- Own the electrical implementation and design of electric systems.
- Develop control schemes and support calibration development.
- Evaluate new technologies and industry trends for inclusion in future programs.
Our team, Mechatronics and Sustainable Packaging (MSP), enables Amazon to develop, deploy, and scale automated solutions across the Amazon Fulfillment Network. We work backwards from deep customer insights to deliver solutions that seamlessly integrate into brownfield and greenfield deployments with safety as a top priority.
We take ownership of the entire packaging experience, including selling partner design, first/middle/last mile, and total customer experience. We eliminate waste and packaging wherever possible and transition from single-use plastics to curbside recyclable paper-based materials.
Requirements- BS in Electrical Engineering (or similar field).
- 5+ years of experience with schematic entry, layout tools, and DFx (preferred Altium toolset).
- 5+ years of experience with microcontroller design (STM32, ESP32, or similar).
- 5+ years of experience with communication interfaces (CAN/LIN/FlexRay/Ethernet/SPI/I2C, etc.).
- 3+ years of experience in medium-volume production environments (10,000+ units per year).
- Ability to support domestic and international travel as required by the program.
- MS/PhD in Electrical Engineering (or similar field).
- 5+ years of experience with mechatronic product development.
- 3+ years of experience with system models to an industry safety standard.
- 3+ years of experience with circuit simulations (PSpice, HyperLynx, ElmerFEM, etc.).
- 1+ years of experience with wireless technology (WiFi, Bluetooth, etc.).
- 1+ years of experience with system simulation/modeling.
