Fitness Attendant

The City of Belton is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Fitness Attendant to join our team. As a key member of our Parks & Recreation Department, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for our members and guests.

This is a non-exempt position that requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Building positive relationships with members and guests, ensuring a friendly and approachable atmosphere.
• Providing orientations and training on proper equipment use, promoting cleanliness and safety.
• Communicating effectively with the Wellness Manager and other staff members to address member needs.
• Assisting with event preparation, including weekend rentals and private events.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in customer service, preferably in a fitness or recreation setting.
• CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications (desired).

This position requires regular standing, walking, and lifting up to 25 pounds. You may also be required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, as well as talk and hear frequently.

The estimated salary range for this position is $25,000 - $35,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
