Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to provide healthcare services to detained youth in a secure facility. The ideal candidate will have experience in adolescent healthcare and be able to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide primary care to detained youth, including assessments, triage, and treatment of medical conditions
  • Collaborate with medical providers to obtain laboratory and diagnostic procedures
  • Administer medications and provide education to youth and staff on medication administration
  • Evaluate and address mental health concerns, including referrals to psychiatrists or mental health resources
  • Document all care in the electronic health record
Requirements
  • Current, valid licensure as a Registered Nurse from any state participating in the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact
  • Experience with adolescent healthcare, mental health nursing, and correctional nursing
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make decisions in a timely manner
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
