Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant to join our team at the Cook Inlet Tribal Council. This is a full-time position responsible for providing administrative support to the Alaska Native Justice Center Department.

About the Role

This role involves providing exceptional customer service to all stakeholders, managing and scheduling department-related meetings, maintaining digital files, generating and processing procurement documents, and performing other clerical duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide professional customer service to all ANJC staff, participants, vendors, and key stakeholders.
  • Answer phone calls, respond to general email inquiries, greet guests, and route employee and participant questions to the proper staff.
  • Manage and schedule department-related meetings and coordinate with facilities to ensure conference rooms are prepared.
  • Maintain workspace supplies and office equipment, ensuring they remain operational.
  • Organize and maintain digital files, generate and process procurement documents, and perform other administrative tasks.
  • Make photocopies, transmit digital documents, order office supplies, and perform other clerical functions as assigned.
  • Ensure reception, shared breakroom, and common areas remain neat, clean, and organized.
  • Submit IT helpdesk and facilities work tickets as needed, notify security of any issues requiring their attention, and monitor program email addresses responding to emails appropriately.
  • Provide administrative and logistical support for special meetings, trainings, and events.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite and MS Teams, particularly Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree in Business Administration or related field preferred.
  • One to three years of experience in general business or a related field, depending on the level of the position (I, II, or III).
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the socio-cultural needs of the Alaska Native and American Indian community.
  • Valid Alaska driver's license and insurable under CITC's automotive insurance.
Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $65,000 per year, commensurate with experience, plus excellent benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
