Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) to join our team at UF Health Shands. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Assist attending physicians in the care and management of patients on Inpatient units, including making patient rounds, contributing to daily care decisions, writing orders, and facilitating scheduling of therapeutic and diagnostic tests and procedures.
  • Provide comprehensive medical care to patients in the Emergency Department, including assessing patients, developing treatment plans, and collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
  • Work in a clinic environment, providing diagnostic and therapeutic healthcare coverage for patients, including taking medical histories, performing physical examinations, coordinating lab tests and diagnostic studies, prescribing medications, and providing patient education.
  • Assist in the care and management of patients in the ICU, including making patient rounds, contributing to daily care decisions, writing orders, and facilitating scheduling of therapeutic and diagnostic tests and procedures.
Requirements
  • Masters degree in Nursing.
  • Current and clear license as an APRN in the State of Florida.
  • BLS certification.
  • Meet requirements set forth by the Medical Staff Office to obtain and retain privileges to practice as an APRN within UF Health Shands Hospital and/or the Shands UF Healthcare Network, as applicable.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a hospital or healthcare setting.
  • Experience working with patients in a variety of settings, including Inpatient, Emergency Department, and Clinic environments.
  • Experience working with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver patient care.
