Job Summary:

DePaul is seeking a highly skilled Medication Coordinator 2 to join our team. As a Medication Coordinator 2, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely administration of medications to our residents. This role requires strong organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Properly log in all client medications, checking labels for accuracy and completing proper documentation
Make copies of all prescriptions and update client charts and medication records as needed
Inventory medication counts in a timely fashion to identify medications that need to be ordered
Ensure that prescriptions are refilled as needed and that effective systems are in place for the ordering of all medications
Act as a liaison with residents, doctors, pharmacies, providers, and residential staff as necessary to ensure timely and accurate ordering of medications and appointment scheduling
Oversee the supervision of all residents' medications in accordance with physicians' orders, agency policy, and NYS Office of Mental Health regulations
Review the Medications Administration Record (MAR) daily to ensure accuracy of the supervision of medications
Report significant issues regarding client medications to the Assistant Director or Residential Services Coordinator

Requirements:

Minimum of a High School diploma/GED, some college preferred
One year of work experience in supervising and administering or managing medications in a health-related residential setting
Employee supervision experience preferred
Clean NYS driving record as outlined in DePaul's personnel policy
