This is a full-time position with a competitive estimated salary of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

About the Role:

The primary responsibility of the Sous Chef is to assist the Executive Chef in maintaining high-quality food standards and efficient kitchen operations.

  • ">
  • Assist the Executive Chef in menu planning, inventory management, and daily operations.">
  • Supervise kitchen staff, provide training and coaching, and ensure compliance with facility policies and procedures.">
  • Responsible for shift scheduling, work station assignments, and employee breaks to ensure adequate coverage based on forecasts.">
  • Maintain a safe and organized working environment, adhering to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs).">
  • Prepare reports on kitchen operations, including inventory management and waste reduction strategies.">
  • Work collaboratively with the culinary management team to control operating costs through effective record-keeping procedures.">
  • Maintain a high standard of personal hygiene and professional conduct at all times.">

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience as a Sous Chef in a high-volume kitchen setting.">
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English; Spanish proficiency is a plus.">
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; culinary degree or certification preferred.">
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.">
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks.">
  • Valid Tribal Gaming License required.">

Working Conditions:

This role requires frequent walking, standing, and sitting. The associate will occasionally be required to climb and use balance. Additionally, the team member will frequently be asked to use hands and arms to carry and lift items. This is a smoking environment.
