Mental Health Support Specialist

As a Mental Health Rehabilitation Technician (MHRT) with New Communities, Inc., you will play a vital role in supporting adults with persistent mental health challenges within our residential setting. Your primary responsibility will be to assist clients in achieving their personal goals, as established in their individualized treatment plans.

About the Role:
This position involves working closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide holistic support services to our clients. As an MHRT, you will be responsible for assisting clients with daily living activities, providing emotional support, and helping them develop skills necessary for independent living.
To succeed in this role, you must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and demonstrate a commitment to providing person-centered care.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist clients with daily living activities, such as meal preparation, hygiene, and medication management;
* Provide emotional support and encouragement to help clients build confidence and self-esteem;
* Help clients develop skills necessary for independent living, including budgeting, cooking, and time management;
* Collaborate with the treatment team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans;
Requirements:
* High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or higher preferred;
* 1-2 years of experience working with individuals with mental health challenges, preferably in a residential setting;
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment;
