Associate Director of Development, Asia Pacific Division

About the Role
The Nature Conservancy is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Associate Director of Development to lead our Asia Pacific Division's fundraising efforts. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for cultivating and stewarding a portfolio of donors, identifying and pursuing new fundraising opportunities, and working closely with our leadership team to achieve our division's fundraising goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of 40-75 donors, including donors with the capacity to give gifts over US $750,000.
- Responsible for 40-75 visits and moves annually.
- Accountability for a minimum annual fundraising goal of US $2,000,000+ once the portfolio is developed.
What We're Looking For
We're seeking a seasoned development professional with a proven track record of success in major gifts fundraising, donor stewardship, and team leadership. You will have exceptional communication and collaboration skills, experience with fundraising best practices, and a deep understanding of the Asia Pacific region's philanthropic landscape.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and 7 years related experience.
- Demonstrated experience in cultivating and ultimately stewarding the development of a pipeline of new donors.
- Experience in fundraising strategy development focusing on identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of major and principal gift level donors.
- Experience in building donor-specific strategies focused on High-Net-Worth Individuals and private foundations.
- Experience building and maintaining long-term relationships with constituents such as major/principal gift level donors, foundations, and corporations.
- Experience in asking for and closing seven-figure gifts.
- Experience in managing and tracking multiple prospects and donors.
- Experience working with fundraising principles and practices.
- Experience, coursework, or other training in current and evolving trends in charitable giving, particularly in the areas of capital campaigns, major/principal gifts, and planned giving.
- Fluency in an Asian language.
