Job Description:

This is a Sr. Right-of-Way Agent position based in Lexington, Kentucky. The ideal candidate will be responsible for establishing and maintaining good relationships with surface owners and local government officials and agencies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Negotiate terms for surface agreements, including surface use agreements, pipeline rights of way, and easements.
  • Settle surface damages and ensure necessary access to company assets.
  • Conduct internal title research and external title research in the courthouse with minimal supervision.
  • Utilize mapping software, such as GIS and Google Earth, to plot deeds and learn client-specific mapping systems.
  • Interpret drawings and redline where needed, including alignment drawings, certified property plats, permit drawings, temporary workspace drawings, and construction access drawings.
  • Navigate multiple client databases and conduct online research.
  • Demonstrate excellent computer knowledge through effective use of Microsoft Office applications and database use.
  • Work well in a team environment or individual role.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of five years of experience in the right-of-way industry.
  • Bachelor's Degree, Technical Diploma, or High School graduate.
