Boston Children's Hospital is seeking a dedicated and skilled Healthcare Support Specialist to join our team in the ORL Clinic. In this role, you will be responsible for providing critical support to clinicians in a fast-paced environment.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will assist clinicians with tasks such as obtaining patient vital signs, rooming patients, and preparing examination rooms. Additionally, you will be responsible for collecting and verifying patient information, identifying any unusual findings or changes in patient condition, and documenting patient-related prescreening and postoperative telephone calls.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist clinicians with patient care activities, including obtaining vital signs, rooming patients, and preparing examination rooms
  • Collect and verify patient information according to established procedures and instructions
  • Identify and report unusual findings or changes in patient condition to registered nurses, physician assistants, or physicians
  • Document patient-related prescreening and postoperative telephone calls
  • Provide general support for clinical operations, including stocking, maintaining, and ordering supplies and equipment
Requirements
  • 1 year of Clinical Assistant experience or related healthcare experience
  • Pediatric experience strongly preferred
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent
  • The ability to work with computer systems
  • Strong communication skills
  • Flexibility and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team
