Diagnostic Imaging Specialist

As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you'll play a vital role in our team's success, working closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality diagnostic imaging services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate various radiology suite equipment, including Siemens, GE, and Philips systems.
  • Position patients properly and perform quality diagnostic radiographs.
  • Communicate effectively with patients to explain procedures, obtain clinical history, and address any questions or concerns.
  • Maintain a clean and organized examination environment, ensuring equipment is in working order and reporting any malfunctions to the Radiology Manager.
  • Prepare copies of x-ray films/CDs for patients, tests, surgery, and physicians as required.
  • Log radiological procedures completed, process charges, and related paperwork using computer equipment as directed.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of a Radiologic Technologist program approved by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and the American Medical Association.
  • Minimum of one year experience as an x-ray tech with an orthopedic background.
  • Registered Radiology Tech by American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (AART) or ARRT registry eligible.
  • Current CPR certification recommended.
Preferred Skills:
  • Ability to operate various manufacturer types of Radiology suite equipment.
  • Skill in proficient use of various manufacturer types of Digital Radiology (DR) and Computer Radiology (CR) reader systems.
  • Skill in identifying equipment problems and correcting or notifying supervisor.
  • Skill in positioning patients properly and performing quality diagnostic radiographs.
