X-Ray Mammography Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Imaging Technologist to join our team at Luminis Health. As an X-Ray Mammography Specialist, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our imaging department.

This full-time day shift position involves performing screening and diagnostic mammographic procedures in accordance with established safety and quality standards. You will be responsible for acquiring high-quality images, verifying demographic and technical information, and maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients.

• Mammography Procedures: Acquire mammographic images, verify patient information, and ensure technical quality of films.
• Quality Assurance: Perform necessary testing on mammography equipment and maintain accurate records.
• Patient Care: Provide radiation protection to patients, administer first aid as needed, and assist physicians during biopsy procedures.
• Communication: Collaborate with supervisors to recommend changes, report problems, and provide feedback to improve patient care and technical quality.
• Supply Management: Monitor supplies in the assigned work area and notify supervisors when shortages occur.

To be successful in this role, you must have a strong educational background in radiological technology and relevant experience in mammography. A current registry in a specific imaging modality (ARRT or ARDMS) and licensure in the State of Maryland are also required.

We offer a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $85,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
