About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Lumberyard Operations Specialist to join our team at Norton Do it Best Homestore.

Estimated Salary:$45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience.

Job Summary

The Lumberyard Operations Specialist will be responsible for providing an exceptional customer service experience while maintaining a clean and efficient lumberyard. This role requires a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Assist customers with finding merchandise, answering questions, and processing special orders.
  • Lumberyard Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized lumberyard, including housekeeping tasks as needed.
  • Inventory Management: Assist with taking regular inventory of stock.
  • Loading and Unloading: Assist with loading customers' vehicles and unloading products according to company specifications.
  • Delivery Services: Provide timely delivery of customers' orders and maintain ongoing communication with customers to update them on the status of their delivery.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a retail or customer-facing role preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent customer service skills, strong math and reading skills, and the ability to lift up to 80lbs regularly.
