Counselor II

We are seeking a highly skilled Counselor II to join our team at Mount Rogers Community Services. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will provide counseling, case management services, and crisis intervention to individuals in need.

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify and diagnose mental health/substance abuse disorders and functional capacity.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans with measurable goals and objectives.
• Provide case management services to individuals who meet eligibility criteria, including referral, monitoring, supportive counseling, education, and skill development.
• Engage in ongoing evaluation of clinical practice and services rendered, including annual re-assessments and treatment plan reviews.
• Deliver emergency services, including pre-screenings and crisis intervention, as needed.
• Comply with all policies and procedures established by Mount Rogers CSB, Licensure, Medicaid/Medicare, and other regulatory bodies.
• Participate in meetings, including supervision, clinical staffing, business meetings, and committees, to enhance a team approach to decision making.

• Masters Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
• Eligibility for Licensure required.
