Job Title: Physical Therapist

Next Move Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist to provide evaluation and treatment services for hospital inpatients, outpatients, and residents in the Long Term Care unit.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in evidence-based care and be able to deliver comprehensive care in Acute Care, outpatient, and Long Term Care settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide treatment for patients by referral from physicians and according to American Physical Therapy Association standards.
  • Deliver comprehensive care in Acute Care, outpatient, and Long Term Care settings.
  • Assist in the supervision of Physical Therapy Assistants, Long Term Care Restorative Aides, volunteers, and students.
  • Maintain daily professional interactions with patients, families, other employees, and physicians, ensuring a high level of care and respect.
  • Participate in the clinical direction and development of subspecialties within the Rehabilitation Department.

Qualifications:

Physical Therapist 1:

  • Degree from an accredited university recognized by the American Physical Therapy Association.
  • 1-2 years of experience preferred (open to new graduates).
  • Current Alaska Physical Therapy license (or ability to obtain before hire).
  • BLS certification required.

Physical Therapist 2:

  • Degree from an accredited university recognized by the American Physical Therapy Association.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience.
  • Certification of advanced clinical competency (e.g., TDPT, OCS, SCS, GCS, FAAOMPT).
  • Current Alaska Physical Therapy license (or ability to obtain before hire).
  • Responsible for the clinical direction and development of one of the Rehabilitation Department subspecialties.
  • BLS certification required.

Physical Therapist 3:

  • Doctorate in Physical Therapy required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience.
  • Certification of advanced clinical competency in two subspecialties (e.g., TDPT, OCS, SCS, GCS, FAAOMPT).
  • Current Alaska Physical Therapy license (or ability to obtain before hire).
  • Responsible for the clinical direction and development of two Rehabilitation Department subspecialties.
  • BLS certification required.
