About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Educational Support Professional to join our team at the YMCA of Columbia Willamette. As a Teacher's Aide, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational development of our students in Portland Public Schools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist lead staff in maintaining a safe and engaging learning environment
  • Implement fun and interactive educational programs
  • Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and school staff
Requirements
  • Pass a background check
  • Current enrollment in the Oregon State Childcare Registry
  • CPR and First Aid certification or ability to obtain within 30 days
  • Food Handlers certification or ability to obtain within 30 days
  • At least 14 years of age

Estimated Salary: $15-$18 per hour, depending on experience. This is a part-time position with hours from 2:00-6:00pm. Work is primarily performed at YMCA Before and After School programs in Portland, with occasional travel to other childcare sites within the association.
