Job Title: Area Sales Director - New Installation

Thyssenkrupp Elevator is seeking an experienced Area Sales Director - New Installation for the Northeast area.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated sales professional to lead our new installation sales team in the Northeast area. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth, building strong relationships with customers, and ensuring the region exceeds monthly new installation sales goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve sales targets and grow the business
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, including general contractors, architects, and consultants
  • Collaborate with regional and regional vice presidents to establish goals and objectives and ensure new installation staff exceeds goals and objectives
  • Provide leadership and guidance to new installation sales representatives, including recruitment, training, mentoring, coaching, evaluating, and disciplining employees
  • Review and create bidding strategies for large or complex new installation jobs to ensure profitability
  • Monitor ongoing new installation jobs and focus on margin improvement through change orders
  • Maintain strong familiarity of company products and services, including attending company training classes and reviewing factory equipment updates and supplier goods
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree and 10 years directly related sales experience in the elevator industry, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience working with long sales cycles
  • Proven success in B2B field sales, with experience selling services in a highly competitive market
  • Ability to write reports, contract proposals, and business correspondence
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions to improve profitability
  • Ability to present effectively to customers, lead meetings, and present to groups of people
What We Offer:

Competitive salary range for Manhattan: $161,000 to $233,000. The role offers a car allowance, fuel card, and a lucrative incentive program with a bi-annual payout.
