We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as a Senior Wound Care Specialist at Genesis HealthCare, located in Albuquerque. This is an exceptional opportunity for a skilled professional to lead our comprehensive Skin Health and Wound Management program, collaborating with nursing center management and providing clinical expertise.

About the Role:

  • Lead and integrate a fully developed Skin Health and Wound management program, promoting patient-centered care and excellence in wound prevention and treatment.
  • Serve as the clinical expert for skin, wound, and incontinent products, ensuring seamless supply chain management.
  • Oversee durable medical equipment related to wound prevention and management, driving efficiency and best practices.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Current RN license and accredited wound certification (CWS, CWCN, WCC, CWON, WOC, AWCC) or commitment to complete Advanced Wound Training and national accredited Wound Certification within 1 year of hire.
  • Strong knowledge base of acceptable standards of care for nurses, providers, therapists, dietitians, and others on the nursing center team.
  • Experience in team building, demonstrating respect for the interprofessional team in wound management, and effective communication skills.
  • Knowledge of national wound guidelines, wound products, and nursing home regulations and survey process.
  • Excellent Microsoft Word, Excel, Database Management, and PowerPoint skills.
