Nuclear Medicine Technologist Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at WellSpan Health. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of routine and advanced clinical diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Performs diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures
  • Prepares radiopharmaceuticals for administration to patients
  • Monitors patient during procedure and reports any unusual occurrences to appropriate personnel
  • Introduces and demonstrates new techniques, equipment, and research findings to staff
  • Checks equipment, supplies and accessories on a regular basis
  • Develops film including evaluating film for technical quality
  • Schedules cases to coordinate with other patient examinations
  • Positions and transfers patients safely and comfortably and explains basic procedure
  • Immobilizes patients as necessary and practices radiation safety procedures
  • Prepares and maintains written documentation as required by the profession and the department
Requirements:
  • Associates Degree Required
  • 2 years Relevant experience
  • Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist Upon Hire Required or Registered Technologist-Nuclear Medicine Technologist - ARRT Upon Hire Required and Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required
