Pulmonary/Critical Care Specialist to join our team at Physician Empire. We are seeking a highly skilled professional to contribute to our hospital-employed, full-time opportunity.
Job Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Pulmonary Specialist to join our team in Northern Alabama. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality services.
About the Location:
Northern AL metro offers a unique blend of urban and rural living, with easy access to major cities such as Birmingham, Nashville, and Atlanta. Our location provides a great balance between work and personal life, with plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities and cultural experiences.
What We Offer:
This is a permanent position with a competitive salary range of $250,000 - $400,000 per year, depending on experience. The successful candidate will also enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
Responsibilities:
The Pulmonary Specialist will be responsible for providing expert care to patients with pulmonary and critical care conditions. This will include diagnosing and treating respiratory diseases, managing ventilators, and performing other procedures as needed. The specialist will also be expected to participate in multidisciplinary teams, attend conferences, and engage in ongoing professional development to stay up-to-date with the latest treatments and technologies.
Requirements:
To be considered for this role, candidates must have a medical degree (MD or DO) and completion of a Pulmonary/Critical Care fellowship program. They should also possess strong clinical and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Additionally, the successful candidate will need to be licensed to practice medicine in the state of Alabama and obtain hospital privileges.
Call Schedule:
The current call schedule involves two weeks covering ICU and two weeks covering outpatient call. However, we are open to negotiating a call schedule that suits the needs of the successful candidate.
Practice Setting:
The Pulmonary Specialist will have the opportunity to structure their practice setting, balancing inpatient and outpatient responsibilities. The specialist will work alongside one additional Critical Care Pulmonologist and one Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, ensuring a collaborative and supportive team environment.
