Manufacturing Process Improvement Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Process Improvement Specialist to join our team at Chamberlain Machine. As a key member of our manufacturing operations, you will play a critical role in driving process improvements and ensuring the highest quality products for our customers.
Job DescriptionThe successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing systemic improvements to increase product flow from order entry to shipping. This includes analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout to improve manufacturing efficiency.
You will also design tooling and gaging fixtures for manufacturing processes, identify and implement cost savings and safety initiatives, and maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing professional publications.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement systemic improvements to increase product flow from order entry to shipping
- Analyze and plan workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout to improve manufacturing efficiency
- Design tooling and gaging fixtures for manufacturing processes
- Identify and implement cost savings and safety initiatives
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing professional publications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A BS Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering
- 5 – 7 years experience minimum in a manufacturing plant, preferably with CNC machining/chip cutting operations
- Knowledge of materials, materials science, manufacturing processes, and equipment (for example, milling, turning, grinding)
- Knowledge of quality management systems
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to present technical information to vendors, operators, and management
