Job Summary:

The State of California is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to fill the role of Senior Park Aide. This position is a seasonal opportunity to work in the beautiful North Coast Redwoods District, providing educational opportunities and experiences for visitors, partners, local schools, and volunteers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communicate complex stories of the redwood forest and the environments that have shaped human life and culture on the North Coast.
  • Work closely with Redwood National Park interpretive staff to provide educational opportunities and experiences.
  • Safeguard California State Parks by communicating with the public and providing information about park rules and regulations.
  • Assist with park maintenance and upkeep, including cleaning and repairing facilities.
  • Provide excellent customer service to visitors and respond to their inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.

Requirements:

  • A valid Class C driver's license is required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
