The Randolph Hospital Inc is seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to provide exceptional clinical support in our dynamic healthcare environment. This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with registered nurses and contribute to delivering high-quality patient care.
About the Role:
This Medical Assistant position requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare teams. As a vital member of our nursing unit, you will be responsible for assisting patients with activities of daily living, providing basic nursing care, and maintaining a safe and clean environment.
Responsibilities:
• Assist patients with bathing, dressing, and grooming under the direction of the registered nurse.
• Provide basic nursing care, including taking vital signs, administering medications (as directed), and performing various medical procedures.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient information, including medical history, test results, and treatment plans.
• Participate in unit activities, such as orientation, training, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Perform clerical duties, such as answering phones, responding to pages, and completing paperwork.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement comprehensive patient care plans.
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current listing on the North Carolina Nurse Aide registry.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Previous experience in a hospital or healthcare setting preferred.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMRs) and other healthcare software systems a plus.
Compensation and Benefits:
We offer a competitive salary range of $38,500 - $47,000 per year, based on experience, depending on the location. Additionally, you may be eligible for benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, and paid time off.
