Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse Supervisor will be responsible for supervising the nursing staff, ensuring the best patient care possible, and directing the nursing services department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in geriatric nursing, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise nursing staff and ensure work assignments are completed appropriately and timely.
  • Assist the Director of Nursing in directing, coordinating, and supervising the Nursing Services Department.
  • Supervise nursing services for the facility during shifts, adhering to the Nursing Practice Act, facility policies, and local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Deal with employee problems in a timely manner and document actions.
  • Assume on-call responsibilities and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • High school graduate.
  • Registered Nurse, graduated from an accredited School of Nursing, with a current, valid license from the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
  • Provide quality-nursing care to patients, follow doctor orders, and have a genuine interest in geriatric nursing.
  • CPR certified yearly.
  • Attend in-service training and other staff meetings as required.
  • Ability to supervise nursing staff and ensure work assignments are completed appropriately and timely.
  • Long Term Care experience preferred.
