POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES

At University Health System- San Antonio, we are seeking a skilled Clinical Laboratory Coordinator to assist in the development, implementation, evaluation, and coordination of all aspects of point-of-care testing performed by non-laboratory staff, ensuring regulatory compliance in the Clinical laboratories.

This role maintains, monitors, and supports the achievement of effective quality programs to guarantee a safe and efficacious quality laboratory testing utilizing good laboratory practices and good manufacturing practices.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement quality programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate point-of-care testing activities and ensure effective quality control measures are in place.
  • Collaborate with laboratory staff to maintain accurate records and reports.
  • Ensure adherence to good laboratory practices and good manufacturing practices.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in medical technology or an appropriate biological medical science.
  • Minimum of two years experience in Laboratory testing.
  • Certification by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) or National Certification Agency (NCA) or equivalent.
