Job Summary

Leidos is seeking a skilled Visual Simulation Software Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our High Fidelity Simulation Business Area, you will be responsible for developing cutting-edge visual simulation systems for the US Navy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop real-time, three-dimensional graphics systems for naval training and simulation systems.
  • Collaborate with our team to formulate the technical direction for visual simulations.
  • Utilize C++ and OpenGL to create high-performance graphics applications.
  • Work with state-of-the-art technology, including the Unreal graphics engine and various software packages.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
  • 8+ years of experience developing graphics applications, primarily in C++.
  • Knowledge of OpenGL, GLSL, or Vulkan, and experience with game programming, 3D graphics development, or other visual simulation systems.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with development in Unreal Engine 4.
  • Knowledge of graphics hardware and GPU internals.
  • Experience with developing for Virtual Reality headsets.
