Geisinger offers an exciting opportunity for a skilled Flight Paramedic to join our team. This role involves providing paramedic-level advanced life support in a fast-paced environment, working closely with pilots and other medical crew members.
Responsibilities- Provides advanced life support until patient care is relinquished to accepting medical facilities.
- Maintains thorough patient care documentation in the electronic medical record.
- Practices within the paramedic scope of practice as defined by the Command Physician or written guidelines of the Emergency Health Services Council Regional Protocols or the Department of Health Emergency Medical Services ACT.
- Maintains competency in knowledge and psychomotor skills through ongoing laboratory and clinical experiences.
In addition to these key responsibilities, successful candidates will also be expected to:
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Function as a member of the flight crew, assisting the pilot as needed.
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
Requirements- A valid driver's license and certification as a paramedic.
- At least 3 years of experience in a related field, such as emergency medical services or critical care transport.
- A commitment to delivering high-quality patient care and excellent customer service.
