St. Joseph's Healthcare System is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our healthcare team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Provide respiratory care to patients, including administering oxygen and other therapeutic gases, and operating various equipment to safely administer prescribed doses of medical gases and aerosolized drugs.
  • Check equipment regularly for proper functioning and record data obtained during therapy and diagnostic testing in patient charts.
  • Draw, analyze, and report Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs) to physicians and nurses.
  • Participate in adult ventilator weaning protocol and MDI protocol.
  • Embody the values of St. Joseph's Healthcare System, including embracing excellence and relationship-based care.
Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an approved A.M.A. school for Respiratory Therapy.
  • Current NBRC (National Board for Respiratory Care) credential (Certified or Registered).
  • Current license issued by the New Jersey State Board of Respiratory Care.
  • Ability to explain clinical, technical, and diagnostic procedures to patients and their families.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and provide direct patient care to neonate, pediatric, adolescent, young adult, adult, and geriatric patients.
