Respiratory Care Specialist Lakeland

At Corewell Health, we're dedicated to providing exceptional care to our patients. As a Respiratory Care Practitioner, you'll play a vital role in helping patients breathe more easily and live life more comfortably.
You'll collaborate with a highly skilled clinical team to diagnose, monitor, and treat conditions that affect the lungs and breathing in people of all ages.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform evaluations to determine respiratory care needs and make recommendations accordingly.
- Assess the effectiveness of treatment and accurately document patient information.
- Perform point-of-care testing as required.
- Complete and document required education and competencies within designated timeframes.
- Accurately and timely complete all necessary documentation and billing.
- Facilitate smooth transitions for patients to appropriate referral services or home and provide education to patients and families regarding respiratory issues.
- Instruct and train other respiratory care staff, nursing, and medical personnel on patient needs and respiratory care services.
Requirements:
- Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy
- 2 years of relevant experience in pulmonary rehabilitation, respiratory care, sleep medicine, or equivalent clinical education
- LIC-Respiratory Therapist - STATE_MI State of Michigan
- CRT-Respiratory Therapist Registry - NBRC National Board for Respiratory Care
- CRT-Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) - AHA American Heart Association
- CRT-Adv Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - AHA American Heart Association
- CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association
