Medical Office Assistant

Catholic Health Physicians Practices is seeking a highly skilled Medical Office Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our clinical team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to our healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare exam rooms for use, ensuring a clean and organized environment for patients.
- Prep patient charts with pre-visit planning, reviewing schedules and identifying gaps in care.
- Escort patients to exam rooms, directing patient flow for maximum efficiency.
- Collect and document patient information, clinical data, and vital signs.
- Obtain additional data from patients, EKG/lab/diagnostic test results, and historical data.
- Report findings to providers, recognizing abnormal findings or changes in condition.
- Confirm and clarify written orders prior to implementation of delegated tasks.
- Collect, prepare, and process laboratory specimens for on-site and remote-site testing.
- Assist with front office duties, including greeting patients, answering phones, and verifying insurances.
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program or 3+ years documented medical assistant experience and completion of the CH Medical Assistant Assessment.
- BCLS training and current certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Proficiency with care tasks such as phlebotomy, aseptic technique, etc.
