Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Computing Solutions Architect to join our team at Amazon. As a key member of our capture and proposal team, you will be responsible for helping to accelerate our growing business by developing and delivering cloud computing solutions to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate industry trends and develop common strategies and architectures to address these trends.
  • Perform strategic analysis for specific RFx materials and develop technical responses to customer RFIs and RFPs.
  • Work with customers and partners throughout the capture and proposal process.
  • Own the technical engagement and ultimate success around specific implementation projects.
  • Define implementation architectures and help partners develop architectures and understand AWS services.
  • Develop a deep expertise in AWS technologies and broad know-how around how applications and services are constructed using the AWS platform.
  • Be a subject matter expert on security as it relates to customer applications and services.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience.
  • 4+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience.
  • Bachelor's degree, or CASP+ (CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner) or CCSP (Certified Cloud Security Professional) or Cloud+ or CSSLP (Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional).
  • 1+ years of professional writing experience specifically focused on the business and product development domains within information technology.
  • Working knowledge of git, Infrastructure as Code, and basic cloud networking concepts.
  • Background in business development and architecting solutions in response to public sector requests for proposal, requests for tender.
  • Comfortable communicating and leading efforts across multiple teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Intermediate/advanced knowledge of AWS services, market segments, customer base and industry verticals.
  • Prior experience in a technical role within a sales organization.
  • Understanding of application and IT Infrastructure.
  • Understanding of industry compliance standards (NIST 800-53, NIST , FedRAMP, DoD CC SRG).
  • Experience working for or working with public sector institutions and/or contractors.
  • Demonstrated experience leading or developing high quality, enterprise scale software products using a structured system development lifecycle.
  • 1+ years of experience supporting DoD workloads or applications.
