Job Title: Structural Engineer

Moffatt & Nichol is a leading global infrastructure advisor specializing in the planning and design of facilities that shape and serve our coastlines, harbors, and rivers. We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Engineer to join our team in Seattle or Federal Way, WA.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop plans, specifications, and cost estimates for waterfront infrastructure development and rehabilitation work
  • Help resolve design problems through field investigation, detailed design work, and coordination with other disciplines
  • Calculate construction quantity estimates and perform structural analysis and design with various materials
  • Supervise and schedule work of other team members, including staff engineers and CAD designers
  • Perform site inspections and prepare inspection reports
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
  • Master's degree in Structural Engineering preferred
  • 3+ years of waterfront design experience, including ports, marinas, and vessel mooring structures
  • Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certification required
  • Professional Registration in Washington preferred
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience with Department of Defense (DOD) projects
  • Experience using SAP2000, STAAD, and LPile software
  • Valid driver's license and Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC)
