Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Homeless Care Professional to join our team at Project Renewal. This role requires a licensed LPN with experience working with homeless individuals, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

About the Role:

In this position, you will manage the medication system for clients at our shelters, including receiving and reviewing prescriptions and medications, safe storage of medications, and ensuring clients have access to necessary supplies. You will also be responsible for obtaining vital signs, administering medications and treatments, and performing procedures such as EKGs, hearing and vision tests, and bone density measurements.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage medication system for clients, including receiving and reviewing prescriptions and medications
  • Safe storage of medications and ensure clients have access to necessary supplies
  • Obtain vital signs, administer medications and treatments, and perform procedures as needed
  • Assist providers with examinations and participate in routine diagnostic and therapeutic testing and treatment
  • Maintain accurate records of controlled substances and keep track of supplies

Requirements:
  • New York State licensed LPN
  • Experience working with homeless individuals preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel
