Job Overview

T S E INDUSTRIES INC. is seeking a highly skilled Plastic Machinist Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and operating machine tools such as pressing, planning, sawing, grinding, and weighing material.

Compensation

The estimated salary for this position is $16-$17 per hour. If you are a motivated and detail-oriented individual with experience in machining and fabrication, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and follow job orders for product specifications, including dimensions, tolerances, and pounds, as well as machining instructions such as feed rate, cutting speeds, and closing speeds.
  • Determine the sequence of operations and document and keep logs, routings, and various forms updated.
  • Fill bags with resin to the required weight and stage them at the proper location. Scrap, clean, spray mold release, fill, and level the press.
  • Sort and test material to ensure it is UHMW-PE prior to grinding, milling, and putting it in stock. Load the chipper with the correct materials.
  • Set up and operate the CNC saw and planer, pull the required quantity of sheets, ensure the part numbers are the same, and machine to the specifications of the job traveler.
  • Operate the forklift proficiently and follow safety regulations.
  • Ensure equipment is properly maintained and report any problems or concerns to the supervisor in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) or one to three months related experience and/or training.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Physical demands include standing, using hands to finger, handle, or feel, reaching with hands and arms, talking or hearing, walking, sitting, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling, and tasting or smelling.
Work Environment

The work environment is fast-paced, with frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level is usually loud.
