Plasma Donor Screener

At Biolife Plasma Services, we are committed to providing a safe and welcoming environment for our donors. As a Plasma Donor Screener, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and safety of the plasma we collect.

About the Role:

You will be responsible for screening new and repeat donors, taking and recording donor vital signs and finger stick results, and using our Donor Information System to prepare donor charts and maintain accurate records. You will also be responsible for coordinating donor compensation and identifying operational opportunities for continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Screen new and repeat donors to ensure they meet eligibility criteria
  • Take and record donor vital signs and finger stick results
  • Use our Donor Information System to prepare donor charts and maintain accurate records
  • Coordinate donor compensation and ensure timely payment
  • Identify operational opportunities for continuous improvement and implement changes using company-approved procedures

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to walk and/or stand for the entire work shift
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to lean, bend, stoop, crouch, and reach above shoulders and below knees
  • Ability to lift to 5 lbs., and occasional lifting of materials up to 32 lbs. and rarely 50 lbs.
  • Fine motor coordination, depth perception, and ability to hear equipment from a distance
  • Prolonged glove wear required due to potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens (risk level 1)
