The CDL A Delivery Driver Extraboard role at Performance Foodservice plays a critical part in America's food distribution system. As a driver, you will be responsible for delivering food and food-related products to customers while adhering to DOT regulations.

About the Job

We are seeking a qualified CDL A Delivery Driver with commercial driving experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a valid CDL A, 12 months of commercial driving experience, and a high school diploma or equivalent. Additionally, they must meet all state licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable).

Key Responsibilities

This extraboard position involves driving a tractor trailer or straight truck on varied routes, conducting safety checks, and maintaining customer relations. You will also be responsible for:
• Communicating with customers, vendors, and co-workers professionally
• Performing all required safety checks according to DOT regulations
• Inspecting tractor/truck and trailer to ensure they meet company safety standards
• Reporting all safety issues and/or repairs required
• Following all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies

Qualifications and Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:
• 12 months of commercial driving experience
• Valid CDL A
• High school diploma/GED or state-approved equivalent
• Meet all State licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable)
• Be 21 years of age or older
• Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 3 years
• Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check
• Valid current DOT Health Card and/or able to secure new DOT Health Card

Average Salary: $114,000+
