Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at the State of Maine. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the maintenance and repair of state facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform general carpentry work, including interior and exterior repairs and maintenance.
  • Install, repair, and replace doors, windows, and other hardware to ensure security and proper function.
  • Remove, replace, and install floor and ceiling tiles to maintain and preserve floors and ceilings.
  • Mix and apply materials to repair and maintain walls.
  • Paint walls, doors, and ceilings to maintain a safe and attractive environment.
  • Operate snow removal equipment to clear walks, driveways, and roads.
  • Perform safety checks on equipment and maintain a safe work environment.
Requirements
  • Two years of experience in general maintenance and repair of machinery, equipment, mechanical systems, and buildings.
