About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at Vidant Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support our nursing staff in delivering exceptional patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Provide basic nursing care to patients under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse.
  • Assist with administrative tasks and perform diverse duties for the nursing department.
  • Participate in unit self-scheduling and resolve staffing conflicts.
  • Attend staff meetings and mandatory in-services.
  • Participate in elective education offerings and contribute to unit and hospital-based communities.
  • Practice collaboratively with colleagues and other members of the healthcare team.
  • Comply with break and meal times, and maintain a timely and accurate shift report.
  • Order and obtain supplies as needed, and maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Accurately file diagnostic reports and maintain unit logs.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Successful completion of a Nursing Assistant Course.
  • Current certification as a CNA I in the state of North Carolina.
  • Current listing on the CNA I Registry with the Department of Facility Services.
  • Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
  • Knowledge of computer and office equipment.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and set priorities.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
