About the Role

H.F. Lenz Company is a nationally recognized building systems engineering and design firm seeking a skilled Mechanical Systems Engineer to join our team in Conneaut, OH. This role offers growth opportunities as you become responsible for broader aspects of HVAC Engineering and design.

Responsibilities

  • Perform mechanical/HVAC system design.
  • Select equipment such as fans, air handling units, heat exchangers, chillers, etc.
  • Size and layout ductwork and piping.
  • Perform load calculations using Trane Trace.
  • Conduct energy modeling.
  • Travel to project sites to survey existing conditions.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary project team members.
  • Work with clients, vendors and contractors on a limited basis.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as necessary.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with a mechanical concentration.
  • FE/E.I.T. Certification is strongly desired.
  • 0 to 4 years' experience.
  • Experience with AutoCAD/Revit software platforms.
  • Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to meet project deadlines and provide outstanding service to clients.
  • Ability to plan, organize and prioritize multiple projects.
  • Ability to work in and foster a team environment with minimal supervision.
