About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathology Assistant to join our team at Chatterbox Therapy Center.

In this role, you will work closely with our licensed Speech-Language Pathologists to provide essential support and services to our students.

Responsibilities
  • Student Progress Tracking: Document student progress, maintain accurate records, and prepare progress reports for parents and caregivers.
  • Team Collaboration: Participate in team meetings, professional development activities, and workshops to enhance skills and stay updated on best practices in speech-language pathology.
  • Inclusive Learning Environment: Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes communication and social interaction among students.
  • Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) Devices: Utilize AAC devices and strategies to support non-verbal students in accessing communication.
  • Therapy Interventions: Work directly with students to deliver therapy interventions designed to improve communication skills.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of an Associate's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program or related field is required.
  • Certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) is preferred.
  • Prior experience working with children with special needs, particularly non-verbal children, is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are necessary for collaboration with a multidisciplinary team of professionals.

Compensation

The estimated salary range for this position is $23.50-$25.75 per hour. This estimate is based on national averages for Speech-Language Pathology Assistants in similar roles and locations.
