Licensed Mental Health Specialist for Adults

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Behavioral Health Professional to join our team at the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services.
About the Position:This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of adults coping with severe mental illness and/or substance abuse. As a member of our treatment team, you will provide behavioral health services, including completing biopsychosocial assessments, developing treatment plans, and delivering brief therapeutic interventions. You will also have the opportunity to run psychotherapy groups as part of our structured group therapy model.
The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, be empathetic and non-judgmental, and be able to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds. They will also be proficient in using evidence-based practices and be committed to ongoing professional development.
Salary and Benefits:The salary range for this position is $66,000 - $71,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. Our comprehensive benefits package includes generous state-paid benefits allowance, a wide choice of health insurance plans, flexible spending accounts, employee assistance programs, 11 paid holidays, 15 days of vacation, and 15 days of sick leave. Responsibilities and Qualifications:The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality behavioral health services to adults coping with severe mental illness and/or substance abuse. They will complete biopsychosocial assessments, develop treatment plans, deliver brief therapeutic interventions, and run psychotherapy groups. The ideal candidate will possess a master's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or a closely related field, and be licensed by one of the following boards: Psychology, Social Work, Professional Counselor, Marriage and Family Therapist, Behavioral Practitioner, or Alcohol and Drug Counselor. They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be empathetic and non-judgmental, and be able to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
